Welcome to the WeLight Lab, aka., Computational Imaging & Mixed Representation Laboratory, at the University of Hong Kong. Our lab is led by Dr. Evan Y. Peng, an HKU-100 Assistant Professor at EEE and CS departments.

At WeLight Lab, we specialize in the interdisciplinary fields of Optics, Graphics, Vision, and Artificial Intelligence. Our focus areas include Computational Optics, Imager, Sensor, and Display; Holography & VR/AR/MR; Coded Microscope Imaging; Low-level Computer Vision; Inverse Rendering; and Human-centered Visual & Sensory Systems.

Our goal is to advance the frontiers of these domains through innovative research and technological development. We encourage interdisciplinary collaboration and aim to make a significant impact in both the academic and industrial spheres. You’re welcome to visit our laboratory to learn more about our research and achievements!
